UPDATED: 11/05/08 @ 1:16 a.m.As students began filing out of the Election Day Watch Party held by the Student Union Board, CNN projected that Barack Obama won the Presidential election.
As students cheered, cried, and passed out, students crammed the Student Union in a celebration. Shortly afterward, students ran into the Tiger Xpress to celebrate some more.
As Obama prepared to give his speech, students crammed the Yard in celebration of the Election Day results.
Chants of “Obama” and “GSU” filled the streets. Gramblinite staff members shed tears with their friends, and even some GSUPD officers were seen showing their appreciation for Obama.
