Huey Prymus III died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021 after testing positive for Covid.
Prymus, 38, was a 2004 graduate of Grambling State University.
He worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 14 years.
“He was loved and respected by all who worked with him,” his co-worker Parole Division Director Rene Hinojosa said in a press release. “His smile always lit up the room and he had a positive presence on everyone in the office. He truly enjoyed working for the agency.” said Hinojosa.
He leaves behind his wife La Mia and daughter Violet, 3, and parents Huey and Janice Prymus.
Prymus’s funeral is being held Monday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. at Grambling Memorial Gardens.
Prymus was the grandson of the late Payne Montgomery (facilities manager) and nephew of Criminal Justice Professor Dr. Joyce Montgomery Tims.
