Lemelle seeking volunteers for congressional campaign

Martin Lemelle’s congressional campaign is recruiting community members to join their team.

Volunteers will be offered the opportunity to build their resumes, become leaders and be a part of something great, Lemelle said.

The campaign is in need of phone bank volunteers, office workers and a solid street team.

“This work can be used as service hours for organizations/clubs on college campuses,” Lemelle said.

A GSU alum, Lemelle currently serves as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer at GSU. During Lemelle’s tenure GSU has undergone a 100 percent improvement in its fiscal health score, secured $25 million in capital outlay for the construction of a new library and received three years of clean audit opinions with no findings.

Lemelle is one of nine candidates running for Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District.

“Leadership requires courage and commitment,” he said.

Lemelle said he has a vision and is determined to bring more opportunities to people of this 5th District and is eager to help small businesses in Lincoln Parish and elsewhere.

“I am all about helping others grow and achieve their goals,” Lemelle said.
