University police continue to investigate Aug. 13 shooting

Grambling State University Police Department continue to investigate the Aug. 13 campus shooting that occurred after a large fight.

The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. between Pinchback and Douglass Halls.

One person was shot with non-life-threatening injuries. The person identified as a non-student.

University police implemented additional security measures following the shooting.

Security measures included a 10 p.m. curfew, increased security and control accessed to campus, as well as checkpoints.

According to the university’s Communications Director Tisha Arnold, no new information concerning the shooting has been released.
