The Conrad Hutchinson Performing Arts Center will be the site where the comic play Meetings will be presented March 17-20 by the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Karl Norman is the director.

The show starts nightly at 7 p.m.

The play by Mustalpha Mutura is about commerce, marriage and food. In the play, Hugh and Jean are married and cash-rich but time-poor. Business and careers are booming. Trinidad is in the wake of economic growth. However, something is bothering Hugh, maybe it’s the American tobacco company with its mysterious research and cheap cigarettes, or wife Jean who values business over people. Elsa, a country girl and the new help, brings something else besides good cooking, something that disturbs Hugh’s soul and state of mind.
