The Tiger Express will hold a grand opening for two new locations.
Dining hall directors A.J. Johnson and Nicole Honorè are hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting for the two new locations in the Tiger Express on Monday, Feb. 17 at 9:30 a.m. The two new locations are Chick-Fil-A and Firehouse Subs. The event will feature free refreshments and fun activities.
“I’m glad I will be here to see these two new locations open because I’ve been waiting forever for new food options,” Daniel Joof, a senior from Dallas, Texas, said.
“It was time for a change and the options they chose are great because you can never go wrong with Chick-Fil-A or Firehouse Sub,” he said.
Honorè said the two new options were chosen because it was thought that they should satisfy both students and faculty.
“I’m glad we were able to open up something new and different for the students because it increases more space and a better environment for the students,” Honorè said.
This is a many been waiting for. As everyone familiar with Grambling State already knows, there is also a Pizza Hut inside the Tiger Express store as well.
“I’m excited about the two new locations because I love Chick Fil A,” said Zakayla Matthews, a sophomore from Bastrop, Louisiana. “And I also want to try Firehouse Subs since I never had it before.”
The campus has been without a few locations since fall 2019. Faculty and students have been waiting for the opening of these two locations since the end of last semester.
Everyone is encouraged to stop by the grand opening to see the new atmosphere in the Tiger Express. The Express will now have Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Chick Fil A and Firehouse Subs.
