How do you feel about weaves?

Elijah: I personally don’t wear them but I don’t see a problem with a woman wearing weave. I love it when a woman can pull off any type of hairstyle in all honesty.

Dwedee: Weaves & all different hairstyles in the black community are a way for African American women to express ourselves. I personally like weaves because it is a great protective style for my natural hair.

Why do you think women wear weaves?

Elijah: In my opinion women wear weave to feel good about themselves if their hair can’t naturally grow the length they want it to in certain areas of their hair. Also they may wear them sometimes because they are feeling lazy & don’t feel like messing with their natural hair.

How do you feel about natural hair?

Elijah: I love when a women can go natural because I don’t know if it’s just attractive to me that a women can take care of her hair in general.

What’s the major difference you see when a woman wears her natural hair compared to weave?

Elijah: Only a few women can go natural compared to weave. It takes confidence & motivation to stay with a natural look. With weave you can be confident but really don’t have to do too much to your hair in my opinion.
