Office of Retention announces its peer counseling schedule

The Office of Retention at Grambling State University is offering peer tutoring sessions in the Room 209 of the Brown Tutoring Center. 

Biology 103 & 104: 

Monday 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.; Tuesday 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Wednesday 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.; and Thursday 12-5 p.m. 

Math 131 & 132:

Monday 9-11:30 a.m. and 2-5 p.m.; Tuesday 4-5 p.m.; Wednesday 9-11:30 a.m.; and Thursday 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 4–5 p.m. 

English 101 & 102:

Monday 9-10 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1:30-5 p.m.; Tuesday    9:30-11 a.m. and 12-5 p.m.; Wednesday 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Thursday 2:30-5 p.m.

Spanish 101:

Monday 9–11 a.m. and Wednesday 9-11 a.m. 

Psychology 200: 

Monday 2-5 p.m.; Tuesday 1-5 p.m.; Thursday 1-5 p.m. 

History 101:

Monday 9-10:30 a.m. and Wednesday 2-5 p.m.

Office of Group Benefits         issues advisory regarding scam

The Office of Group Benefits issued a scam advisory to members who have been called or had door-to-door solicitation from individuals claiming to be affiliated with OGB. Solicitors have been calling themselves “OGB Benefit Advisors,” asking for money to be sent directly to them in order to enroll in a health plan. 

The Office of Group Benefits said that if any members receive suspicious phone calls, visits or letters, contact the office at  1-800-272-8451 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
