Message from the Editor in Chief

Jasmine Franklin

Greetings,

I am Jasmine Franklin, a sophomore mass communication major from Chicago, Ill. I am a third-generation Gramblinite as my grandfather, parents, aunt and other relatives attended GSU. I decided to continue the family legacy and become a tiger!

Although I am only a sophomore, I am happy to have been appointed this position so early in my academic career. I am forever grateful for this opportunity to lead The Gramblinite this year. I can assure you we will continue to be an ethical publication striving to share news with you in a timely manner.

With online news increasing in popularity, we will be shaping The Gramblinite to be more digital so students and the community can access news efficiently. My goal is to become an international media mogul.

I would like to create my own children’s television network that focuses on portraying diversity in children’s TV shows. Although my passion is geared towards television, I believe I am gaining skills from The Gramblinite that will prepare me for my future.

Members of The Gramblinite gain communication, writing and team building skills. The Gramblinite is always welcoming writers, poets, photographers, graphic designers and even videographers interested in joining our team.

Would you like to voice your opinions?

I encourage anyone interested to join us for our weekly meetings in the Washington Complex room 204 Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. It is ok if you don’t have any experience! You just need to take the first step and come with an open-mind, willingness to learn, and desire to write. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via email if you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.

My email address is editorthegramblinite@gmail.com. If you would like to send us any content you have please share it with our publications email address gsunewspaper@gmail.com

I look forward to seeing new faces at our next meeting!

Sincerely,

Jasmine Franklin
