Jimerson, Robinson finish first at Southern Miss.

The Grambling State men’s and women’s track team competed in the Southern Miss. Open over the weekend of April 26 and 27 in Hattiesburg, Miss.  
The men’s side was led by Maurice Robinson, who landed in first place in the men’s long jump.
The Tigers DeVante Davis had a third place finish in the men’s triple jump and Wesley Green placed third in the hammer throw.
Women’s high jump leaders Serena Jimerson and Jennifer Pickens led the Lady Tigers placing first and second place respectively.
GSU’s Tatyana Guidry placed second, and Marrissa Stove secured a third place finish in the women’s javelin throw.
The Tigers return to action May 3, at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship in Prairie View, Texas.
