Tigerfest brings big celebrities to campus

Grambling State University’s Favrot Student Union Board (FSUB) has announced the Spring Fest lineup from Sunday, April 7 to Friday, April 12.
This year’s theme is called “TigerWorld,” the annual Spring TigerFest celebration brings together students, alumni and community members for a series of entertainment.
See the list below of this year’s big events:
On Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 5 p.m. the Tiger Fest Gospel Explosion Concert that will take place at Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center featuring special guest Micah Stampley.
On Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. students will be able to make street signs of their wonderful and unique names that will take place at the Quad.
Students are open to sign up for a Grambling March Madness 5-on-5 basketball tournament at 1-3 p.m. that will take place at the Men’s Gym.
At 7 p.m. students will be able to shoot your shot at someone they may know they want to date in the Black and Gold Room.
On Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tiger World will be upon us and carnival rides, cotton candy, popcorn and food will be in presence that will take place at the Quad.
At 7 p.m. students will have the annual Student Choice Award Show. There will be special performances from our very own GramFam that will take place at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
On Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 3-5 p.m. Favrot Student Union Board wanted to have their own skit from Wildn’ Out called “Talkin Spit” but GramFam style. Four students will be on teams of two and the opponent has to make their laugh by spitting water out their mouth.
Grambling’s famous host Comedian Steve Brown will host our annual Tiger Fest Comedy Show at 7 p.m. that will take place at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center. The fellow comedians that will bringing laughs and joy to everyone is Wild N Out’s Comedian Rip Michael, Tyler Chronicles, All Def Digital Just Nesh and Mr. Bankshot.
On Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. -1 p.m. students will be served with different dance battles from coast to coast that will take place at the Yard.
Grambling’s famous host Comedian Steve Brown is back again and will bring out the Grammy-nominated artists including Kash Doll, the City Girls, Blac Youngsta and Yella Beezy during the Spring Fest Concert at 7 p.m. that will take place at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
Favrot Student Union Board wanted to end Spring Fest and on Friday, April 12, 2019, want to make sure that students are welcome to join a balloon release for those we may have lost or want to remember at noon that will take place at the Quad.
At 1 p.m. students will have a special Greek guests, Tiger Strong with our Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) join our annual Crawfish Boil that will take place at the Quad.
At 7 p.m. Grambling’s famous host Comedian Steve Brown will host the Greek & Non Greek Step Show that will take place at the Yard.
