As the construction workers lay down the last touches, Ruston is going to be home to four new retail stores that will be opening soon.
The $23 million dollar new shopping center called, Ruston Marketplace, is located in the northwest corner of I-20 and Cooktown Road.
The 100,000 square foot new shopping center will be home to the stores TJMaxx, Hobby Lobby, Five Below, Ulta and Rack Room Shoes.
The companies located in the Ruston Marketplace will bring approximately 80 jobs in the Ruston area. Companies are now looking for employment and some have hosted hiring events to further the process.
“Hobby Lobby is opening on March 18th and (hosted) a hiring event February 18th through the 21st,” Jennifer Mamon, visitors manager for the Ruston Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau, said.
Mamon said TJMaxx has already had a hiring event and is set to have there grand opening on March 17, but those interested can still apply through the company’s website. Five Below is set to open on March 15th and potential employees may also apply through their website as well.
There are no updates on when Ulta and Rack Room Shoes are opening, but those who are looking for employment are encouraged to visit website for each of the companies for more information.
According to Mamon, future tenants are also considering placing stores in vacant locations in the shopping center.
The Ruston Marketplace development was constructed by Hutton.
