The Grambling State University men’s basketball team ended a four game win streak falling victim 86-85 to Texas Southern University Saturday night (Feb. 16) and 92-87 to Prairie View A&M University on Monday (Feb. 18) afternoon.

The Tigers came out shooting 48 percent, going 13-for-27 from the field to trail 43-35 at the end of the first half.
GSU rallied in the second half only to come up short by just one point. GSU had one final shot as time expired but an Ivy Smith shot was blocked by a TSU defender.
Dallas Polk-Hilliard led GSU with 22 points, Prince Moss added 17 points and Axel Mpoyo chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Grambling State University men’s basketball turned the ball over 24 times compared to just 10 from the Panthers as Prairie View A&M took a 38-33 advantage going into the half.
Grambling State responded coming out in the second half on a 13-6 run to regain the lead at 46-44 with 15:45 remaining in the game.
The Panthers used stifling defense and an 18-13 run in the final minutes to put a halt to GSU’s comeback chances.
Grambling had one final run capped off by a three pointer by Anthony Gaston with 34.1 seconds remaining in the game to set the score at 88-84.
However, the Panthers closed the door after two free throws by Darius Williams to secure the victory.
Prince Moss led the Tigers with 26 points, and nine rebounds. Ivy Smith added 25 points and four assists while Dallas Polk-Hillard chipped in 10 points.
