Tiger Top 5

1. “1400/999 Freestyle” – Trippie Redd(feat.Juice Wrld), Album: A Love Letter To You 3; Trippie Redd and Juice Wrld join forces on one of my personal favorite rap freestyles. The beat contains an interesting piano and mysterious woodwind sound in the background. The catchy chorus is in the beginning and end of the song.

2. “Leave Me Alone” – Flipp Dinero, Single: The Brookyln-raised artist released a song that has become an anthem for many. I can’t listen to this song without screaming along to the chorus “Leave me alone”. I believe this song is a pure mood for when you just want to be left alone. This topic is very relatable and you can hear his emotion in the song. The song also utilizes a interesting flute in the background.

3. “Nights Like This” – Kehlani (feat. Ty Dolla $ign), Single:  R&B standout Kehlani makes a return on her first single of 2019. In this song Kehlani opens up about issues in her past relationship. Along with the song Kehlani also released a music video. There is no exact information which relationship she is referring to in the song. However, Kehlani and her current boyfriend Javie Young-White are seemingly happy as they prepare for the birth of their baby girl.

4. “Countin’ Up” – Rico Nasty, Album: Nasty: Rico Nasty is definitely one of the best female rappers out right now. She’s very underrated, however, she recently released her debut album with Atlantic Records. The DMV-raised artist has a strong and confrontational style. Her creative flow is undeniable.

5. “Can’t leave without it” – 21 Savage, i am>i was: On Feb. 3 21 Savage was  arrested and taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. His representatives confirmed that he was born in the UK. Nonetheless, Savage and Gunna joined forces on another hit rap a song. The beat offers a creative sound.
