Grambling State to host Miss. Valley on Homecoming for Senior Night

Homecoming Week is quickly approaching at Grambling State University.

It’s a week full of events for students and alumni to enjoy, and to end top it all off, the Grambling State University football team will take on Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 3.

Kick-off at Eddie G Robinson Stadium is set for 2 p.m.

Every year, the Homecoming Week activity line up is about the same.

 Sunday starts the week off with a Gospel Explosion concert that will feature Bishop Marvin Sapp.

Tuesday, the Student Union Board will be on the Quad from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., getting pied by students. From 6-9 p.m., a haunted house will be on the yard.
What students are most excited about is the special guest for the Comedy Show and Concert.

The Comedy Show will be on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. and will feature Steve Brown, Toya Turn Up, King Keraun, D’Lai and Jennifer Thomas.

The Concert will be on Friday, Nov. 2 and the line up is Teyanna Taylor, Jasmine Sullivan, Tank and Keith Sweat.

Friday will be the pep rally with performances from the World Famed Tiger Marching Band, the Orchesis and cheerleaders. Additionally there will be a funeral for the Delta Devils, the Mississippi Valley State mascot.

The Homecoming Parade will kick-off game day at 9 a.m., then the game at Eddie G. Robinson Stadium kicks off at 2 p.m. Because it is the last home game of the season, seniors on the team will be recognized.
