Delta Sigma Theta Alum Chapter hosts judge candidates forums
    The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Grambling Alumnae Chapter, Political Awareness Involvement Committee Presents: Judicial District Court, 3rd Judicial Court Division C. Candidates for District Judge.
    The free event will take place on October 15 at 6 – 8 p.m. at Grambling City Hall. The address is 127 King St., Grambling, LA.
    The forum candidates are Monique B. Clement #38 and Bruce Hampton #39. One will be elected.

GSU alum writes play, Stadium View, to be staged Oct 16-19
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts will present Stadium View by Judi Ann Mason. The play will run October 16 – 19 at 7 P.M. in the Floyd L. Sandle Theatre of the Conrad Hutchinson Performing Arts Center on the campus of Grambling State University.
    The play, “Stadium View” was written by Shreveport native, Judi Ann Mason. Judy used her skills as a writer to develop a play based her experiences as a student at the university. She drew her inspiration for the play from living in an apartment complex near the campus owned by the legendary Coach Eddie Robinson.
Career & Athletic Fair to be held
Oct. 16 in B&G room 1 –5 p.m.

    The 51st Annual Lonnie Smith Career & Athletic Fair, sponsored by the Grambling State University Office of Career Services, will be held from 1 –5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 in the Black & Gold Room of Favrot Student Union.
    Professional dress is required. Those attending should bring copies of their resume.
    More than 30 Career Fair employer participants will be on hand. Some of the participants at the event will be corporations like IBM, CenturyLink and General Dynamics Information Technology; government entities like the City of Shreveport, USDA Forest Service and the U.S. Secret Service; police departments from Shreveport, La., and Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Texas; school districts from DeSoto Parish, El Dorado, Arkansas, and Garland, Texas; and other educational entities like Southern University Law Center, YES Prep Public Schools based in Houston, Texas and Norman C. Francis Teacher Residency based in New Orleans.

Office of Transport. hosts trip to Pierre Bossier Mall on Oct. 20
The Office of Transportation will host a Mall Trip, Saturday, October 20 to Pierre Bossier Mall. Just in time to prepare for homecoming.

Rising Junior Exam to be held
on Oct. 15-19 and Oct. 22-26
The Rising Junior Exam, a proctored online test required for graduation, will be held Oct. 15-19 and October 22-26 in Room 322 of Charles P. Adams building. The requirements to be able to take the exam are that students must have registered in GET300 via the Registrars Office, and a test date and time must have been scheduled via Banner Web.
The process for picking test day and time on Banner Web are: log on to Banner Web; click the Students, Testing Center Link, Registration; complete the registration form; scroll down to the bottom and choose day/time to take the exam.
