INTERNSHIP SPOTLIGHT: Alician Clark

My name is Alician Clark, and I am a senior majoring in accounting here at Grambling State University. I am a native of Bossier City, La., and this summer, I had the privilege to intern with Ernst & Young in the risk advisory practice. My internship was based in New Orleans, but I traveled to Nashville, Dallas, and different cities in Florida during my three-month internship. During this internship, I worked on multiple engagements that expanded my knowledge in information technology, internal audit, and SOX Compliance. I also worked on implementing and improving current internal controls.

Not only did my daily tasks include working in public accounting, I analyzed internal controls for various companies, audited, ensured SOX compliance. Furthermore, I worked directly with IT on internal controls and their effectiveness.

This internship has played a vital role in my future success. Due to my performance, I was offered a full-time position in their risk advisory practice starting next Summer/Fall in Dallas, Texas.

All of this would not have been possible without help from Career Services.
