Professor, organizations seek assistance

Dr. Frances Staten’s Service Learning Classes Sociology and Anthropology, and the Black Empowerment Apprenticeship Program (BEAP) – the  ongoing Service Project of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences, seeks the assistance of the  Grambling community.

“The groups are requesting  a one dollar donation from the Grambling State University’s  family and the surrounding communities  to purchase Mother’s Day flowers for the burial site of Grambling State University’s founding mother – Martha Adams and other mothers born in the late 1800’s and later periods,” said Dr. Staten.

She said, Red Roses may also be donated in lieu of money. Donations may be brought to the Grambling Fire Station or the Office of Judicial Affair.
