National Library week this year will be celebrated during the week of April 10-16.

The A.C. Lewis Memorial Library on the campus of Grambling State has planned a week of activities in line with the theme, “Libraries Transform”.

Monday, April 11

ν Proclamation of National Library Week 2016

ν Free Fine Week (hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday) 

ν The patron who returns 50 or more books that were checked out from the due date of Feb. 29, 2016, or earlier will receive a prize (excluding library faculty and staff). 

ν April 10-13 features questions for GSU students: Test of Library Research Knowledge (entries should be emailed to Cecilia Iwala at iwalac@gram.edu)

Tuesday, April 12

ν The public is invited to a book signing and review beginning at 11:15 a.m. in the library lobby. Guest authors include GSU assistant English professor, Dr. Evelyn Wynn; GSU Educational Leadership professor, Dr. Vernon Farmer; and GSU alumnus Bryant Purvis, member of the “Jena 6” and author of My Story as a Jena 6.
