Bayou Classic 2015 activities will be kicked off with a press conference Tuesday, where a new Bayou Classic trophy will be unveiled. This year’s grudge match between hyper-rivals Grambling State and Southern universities, will be the 42nd annual football game.
The old trophy was donated to the Smithsonian Institute to become a permanent display at the National Museum of African American History and Culture set to open next year. Thus the need for a new trophy.
The press conference will be held at 10 a.m.-11 a.m. in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
There will be complimentary parking available in Parking Garage 6 through the Gate A entrance.

Thursday, Nov. 26
ν Bayou Classic Thanksgiving Day Parade at 3:30 p.m. starting from the Superdome and ending at the French Market.
Friday, Nov. 27
ν Career & College Fair at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
ν Coaches Luncheon, an invitation only event, will be noon to 2 p.m., also at the Hyatt Regency. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
ν Welcome Reception, an invitation only event, will be in the Superdome from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
ν Battle of the Bands & Greek Show is from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. in the Superdome.
ν TrueBLUE Donor Appreciation Gala, presented by the Southern University System Foundation, will be held in the Empire Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. The featured artist: will be Rachell Ferrell. For more information, call 225-771-3911.

ν Fan Fest will be held in Champions Square next to the Superdome from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
ν The 42nd Annual Bayou Classic between the GSU Tigers and the SU Jaguars will begin at 4 p.m. in the Superdome.

ν Gospel Brunch will be held at the House of Blues beginning at 10 a.m.
