As part of the program for Homecoming, Dana Howard, director of Residential Life, and her staff of area coordinators and resident assistants held a hall and door decorating contest.

Jennifer Meregeni,  Adams Hall resident, walked away with first place. The second place award was given to Kawana Tolliver and Asha Robertson in Wheatley Hall and third place was awarded to Breona Hall of Adams Hall.

Howard noted that the door decorating practice was common in the past during homecoming events and she sees its renewal as a way to revive campus spirit and pride.

Residents were able to collaborated with their roommates and come up with unique door designs, while resident assistants created murals along halls in buildings that brought out the theme “Let the Good Times Roll.’

Howard hopes that next year the door decorating competition is larger and more students would participate.
