REFERENDUMS

Athletic Fee – The fee would affect all students (including part-time, full-time, undergraduate and graduate) attending Grambling State University. Students will be assessed a fee of $100 per fall and spring and $50 for summer sessions effective 2014 Summers Session I to support the quality operation of the Athletics Department. Thirty-five percent (35%) will be spent on minor sports/non-revenue sports (Track & Field-Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor (M &W), Softball (W), Baseball (M), soccer (W), Bowling (W), Tennis (M) and Golf (M &W). Twenty-five percent (25%) will be used for scholarships: Non-Revenue Sports; fifteen percent (15%) will be used for fields, courts, bowling alley and study hall; five percent (5%) will be used for marketing/promotions/awards; and five percent (5%) contingency: reserved carry over funds to supplement all sports on an emergency need basis only to be approved by Athletic Fee Oversight Committee prior to disbursement.

 

Tiger Marching Band Fee – The band fee is set to expire in 2014. This fee is a renewal that will affect all students (including part-time, full-time, undergraduate and graduate) attending Grambling State University. Students will be assessed $8 per fall and spring semesters and $4 each summer session effective Summer Session I 2014. The fee will be used for band supplies/accessories, uniforms (purchase, alterations, cleaning) instruments (purchase, repair, maintenance) recruitment and travel.
