Clothes deliver positive message

 

Ebony McClinton is a sophomore at Grambling State. matriculating in criminal justice. The Shreveport native hates the word “bitch” and the fact that it is very common among her generation. 

McClinton feels that we have been and still are kings and queens, as she has designed a clothing line that demonstrates that fact.

Q: What do you like to do?

A: I like to hang out with my friends, watch movies, I like to work and inspire others to do better in their life.

Q: What are you most passionate about?

A: I am passionate about my education and future.

Q: Who inspired you to start your own clothing line?

A: To be honest I inspire myself & my generation inspire me also.

Q: How did it come about/how did it come to life?

A: My clothing line came about with me just looking at my generation and I wanted to make something positive since it seems like people focus more on the negative things in life.

Q: What is the meaning behind your line?

A: The meaning behind my clothing lines are “I’m Not a Bitch I’m a Queen” means know your worth, knowing who you are and that we came from Kings and Queens and you should be treated like a Queen & with my other clothing line “Education Is My Hustle” I wanted to promote positive hustle, Education is the grind to succeed in life.

Q: What are your future projects?

A: My future projects are to make my clothing lines worldwide.

Q: Boys and girls clothing line?

A: I’m Not A Bitch I’m A Queen are just for ladies but Education Is My Hustle are for Boys and Girls.
