The Grambling State University 2014 football schedule will be a challenge for first year Head Coach Broderick Fobbs. GSU will spend the first six weeks on the road before having a home game.
The Tigers will begin the 2014 season on the road against Lamar University Aug. 30 in Beaumont, Texas, at 6 p.m. The Tigers will spend the entire month of September on the road starting with the University of Houston on Sept. 6 at the all new Houston Football Stadium.
The following week the Tigers will make their first trip to Florida in over a decade as they will face Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach. GSU will continue their road trip on Sept. 20 against Jackson State and they will finish out the month against Prairie View A&M University at the State Fair Classic in Dallas.
During the first weekend in October, the Tigers will conclude their six game road trip as they will face Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. The Tigers will come home to the confines of Robinson Stadium for two consecutive weekends as they will host Alcorn State University on Oct. 11 for High School Day at 2 p.m. and then Homecoming 2014 on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. against the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
The Tigers will spend the first two weekends in November on the road. They will face Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas on Nov. 1 and then the Tigers will travel to Itta Bena, Miss., to face Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 8. The Tigers will have Senior Day on Nov. 15 as they will host Alabama State University at 2 p.m. The Tigers will conclude the regular season on Nov. 29 as they will face Southern University in the 41st Annual Bayou Classic in New Orleans.
The season tickets for the season will go on sale March 22nd at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center as a part of the Spring Football Game festivities. The Tigers will have three big home games this season at Robinson stadium as a part of the schedule.
Grambling will celebrate High School Day on Saturday, Oct 11 and will face Alcorn State University at 2 p.m. Homecoming 2014 will be the following week on Oct 18 at 2 p.m. against the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. The final home game of the season will be on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. against Alabama State University.
Season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to purchase Bayou Classic Tickets before they go on sale to the general public.
