Ezil Bibbs out of coaching job
Last week Grambling’s defensive line coach Ezil Bibbs Jr. was released from his duties as a member of Grambling’s football coaching staff.
Bibbs was in his third season with the Tigers coaching staff. As a result of Bibbs’ successful playing career at Grambling, the New York Giants drafted Bibbs in the eighth round of the 1974 NFL draft.
When asked about Bibbs’ release, GSU’s public relations chief, Will Sutton, commented in an email: “We do not comment on personnel matters.”
Spectator bus schedules, info
Grambling State University’s football team will travel to Indianapolis to play Alcorn State in the Circle City Classic on Oct. 12.
The deadline to sign up for the student spectator bus to Indianapolis is Monday. Travel dates are Oct. 11-13.
The cost is $200 per student and includes game ticket, two-night hotel stay, and transportation. Pay at the cashier’s window in Long-Jones Hall then bring the receipt to office 215 in the Favrot Student Union.

Free transportation to JSU game
The Jackson State student spectator bus will leave Oct. 19. Transportation is free, but each student must purchase his or her own game ticket.
Sign-up begins Monday and ends Oct. 16. Students can sign up in the Favrot Student Union Room 215.
