Greetings from Miss GSU

Gramblinites,

Greetings and Welcome back home! I can hardly believe August has approached so quickly. Up until now, the thought of starting a new year as Miss Grambling State University has been so surreal. It seems like just yesterday I was moving into J.D.E Bowen Halls (900) as an open-minded, eager and driven freshman. I never imagined that my journey would end as Miss Grambling. Serving this university and leading the student body has always been a privilege; I am honored and truly blessed to dedicate my last year to my prestigious academic institute.

As Miss Grambling, I have set many goals that I would like to complete throughout my reign. One of my goals is to help with recruitment by visiting schools in local communities to inform them about what Grambling has to offer. But of course my ultimate ambition is to be a selfless queen keeping in mind, “with faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.” -Muhammad Ali Jinnah

To all my new or returning Gramblinites make sure you take full advantage of the many opportunities to get involved with our campus. Your involvement in campus life will enhance your overall college experience. I urge you to reach out of your comfort zone and try something new. This is a time for growth! Remember, fulfilling your dreams and aspirations starts here where everybody is somebody.
