Sigma Alpha Pi inducts new members

 

The 2013 Spring Induction Ceremony for The National Society of Leadership and Success was held on April 5. The ceremony took place in the Black and Gold Room in Favrot Student Union.  

This leadership organization established in 2001 rewarded Grambling State University’s chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi by holding students a ceremony of completion to certify that every student had successfully completed The National Society of Leadership and Success training program.

During the ceremony each inductee received a certificate of completion into the organization as token of appreciation for great work ethic at Grambling State University. After receiving the certificates each inductee had their photo taken. The inductees were well-unified as they dressed accordingly, adhering to the dress code, wearing red tops and black bottoms.

Kiara Bell, the Publicity and Events Chairman opened the ceremony by welcoming the inductees and guest and doing a spiritual prayer.  In the ceremony a brief history and information about this leadership organization was given and the inductees were given their certificates.  The ceremony closed with president of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Heather Jiles, gave a few ending remarks and Peter Adeyemi finished with a closing prayer. 

After the ceremony the 2013 inductees for the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi, took a group photograph, holding up their certificates as proof that their hard work paid off.Following the ceremony was the reception.

 The inductees as well as guest of the inductees were served with refreshments of cake, hot wings, and bite-sized sandwiches at the reception.  During the reception the newly inducted members of The Society of Leadership and Success mingled, socialized, and took photos with their family and friends.

Many members as well as supporters of inductees enjoyed themselves.
