Lady Tigers winning continues

Grambling State Lady Tigers won their fourth straight victory Monday night against Mississippi Valley, outscoring them 67-59, in the Fred C. Hobdy Assembly Center.The girls came out ready to fight continuously battling through the night to keep the lead.

In the first half they outscored MVSU 40-23.

With the help of 9 steals and 16 turnovers from the Devilettes, Lady Tigers were scoring 38.5% from the floor in the first half.

In the first half the ladies scrimmaged to break four ties and four leads, but with Grambling leading 8-0 in fast breaks and help from the bench, they were able to prevail on top by the half.

In the second half, the Devilettes tried their best to catch up to the Lady Tigers scoring 38.2% from the floor. With Grambling only shooting 20% from the field they were able to cut their 17 points deficit down to 4 in the last five minutes but the Lady Tigers were too fierce for the competition and dominated their opponent.

Top scorers in the game were Secret Anderson with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists and Breanna Johnson with 12 points and 5 rebounds.

The Lady Tigers will be looking for their 5th win in a row in Baton Rouge on Saturday, where they will be taking on he Southern University Jaguars.
