Grambling State University’s head football coach Rod Broadway will leave GSU to return to his home state of North Carolina.The university released a press release, which confirmed the upcoming change.
Rumors circulated about a week ago that Broadway was leaving GSU.
During that time an athletic representative from North Carolina A & T said that he “no information” about Broadway coming to the school.
“Grambling provided Broadway the opportunity to bring his skills as a head coach to the national stage, and Grambling is better because of it,” said Athletic Director J. Lin Dawson.
There is speculation about if Doug Williams will take the position.
GSU will create a search committee to fill the position promptly.
UPDATE: The university announced that Andre Robinson will serve as interim head football coach.
