The Student Government Association held an interest meeting and nomination convention earlier this week for potential class leaders and queens.
While vacancies exist throughout SGA, Miss Freshman was the most sought after position with six ladies nominated. The only position in which no one was nominated was freshman class secretary.
Candidates will be given an opportunity to inform the public of their candidacy in an election parade at 5 p.m. Monday.
The debate and queen showcase will follow the festivities at 6:30 p.m. in the Black and Gold room.
Online voting will also begin Monday at 8 p.m. and end 5 p.m. Wednesday.
To vote, students must log into Banner Web, click their e-mail information, log in using the appropriate username and password, search their inbox for the SGA Fall Elections ballot, vote and submit.
Each student is permitted one vote.
The election process also includes an ice-cream social in the Black & Gold Room Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Black and Gold Room.
Election results will be announced Wednesday in the Black and Gold Room at 5:30 p.m.
