Gramblinite wraps up award-winning year

The Gramblinite, the student-run newspaper at Grambling State, is wrapping up another successful year, with the announcement of 15 Louisiana Press Association awards won.
The LPA awards were presented Saturday in Lafayette at the organization’s 130th annual convention.The Gramblinite entered four contests (one statewide, two regional, and one national) for student newspapers during the school year, winning 32 awards.

In addition to the LPA, other contests The Gramblinite entered were sponsored by the Southeast Journalism Conference, the Black College Communication Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Louisiana Press Association. The contests were for work published during 2009.
