Hello Students,Let me begin by expressing my sincerest gratitude to each and every student who assisted me on this journey to become SGA President Elect for the 2010-2011 school.
I am eager, Grambling, to serve and lead you on our quest for success, prosperity, and of course preparation for our lives after our matriculation through our esteemed university.
As the President Elect, my administration and I will be working diligently over the summer in order to hit the ground running in the fall. Expanded transportation services, research opportunities, and professional development are just a few items on our agenda.
We must also become up to date with our technology, and not only provide the resources, but equip the students with the knowledge to utilize them.
My administration and I will also be addressing our international student relations tactics. We plan on working with the international office to not only ease the transition process into Grambling State University for incoming freshman, but also assist the current international students with their pressing issues or complications.
We plan to implement programs to showcase the diversity that encompasses Grambling State and expose our students to the onset of globalization in our society.
Also, each class will be responsible for hosting a community service event and conduct a service learning project which will assist them in the completion of their required service hours to graduate from this campus. We will also be implementing test preparation seminars and workshops for students so they can excel on their tests and excel scholastically.
We pledge to you, Grambling State, to remain committed to being the voice of the students and my dedication to you is unwavering. As the semester comes to a close and we each depart for our break, I pray for everyone’s safe arrival to their set destinations.
Thank you again for entrusting me with Grambling State’s future. I look forward to seeing you all in August.
