Every now and then in life you run into some truly exceptional women
-women who are exceptional, unique and intelligent.
And every now and then you run across women that are fiery,
Energetic and passionate about everything they do,
And yet they can remain calm in the midst of chaos and crises;
And every now and then you run across women that can say
Some of the funniest things, and yet they are conscientious,
Serious minded and straightforward;
And every now and then you find women that believe in excellence
At all times and go over, around and through any obstacle in its pursuit
And will not rest until they have found it;
And every now and then you run across women that can encourage
And inspire you to great heights and yet be there to hold and
Comfort you when you feel lost and defeated;
And every now and then you will find women that are committed
To their marriage but can maintain a sense of self;
And every now and then you run across women that will go to the last mile
For their children, and yet they know when to pull back and to let go;
And every now and then you run across women that love God
And live by their faith every day of their lives-through good times
And bad times, through laughter and through tears,
And through peaks and valleys.
Yes, every now and then you run across a truly exceptional woman,
And that woman for us is my mother, Mary Scott Hobdy.
