The International Model Society, presented “Paperdolls” a fashion show. The distinguished event was held on March 18 in Grambling, LA, at 8 p.m. and showcased the collections of three young, remarkable designers in the industry.
Paperdolls featured designers, with urban, fresh designs and provided them the opportunity to exhibit their ready-to-wear and avant-garde collections.
Among the artistic designers are Mykal Chu, Don’Chunte Foster, and Indirea Gordon with her clothing from “Platinum House of Style.”
Mykal Chu is a 21 year old designer and student from DeRidder.
He currently majors in merchandising and consumer studies at Louisiana Tech University.
His line “Sporadic Discombobulation” is an artistic expression of art and combines the softness of life and sexy edginess.
The line embodies all characteristics of emotion and intrigue, and his colors are handpicked to symbolize loveliness and beauty.
Don’Chunte Foster is a fashion artist from Shreveport, Louisiana. She is the creator at Tech Muse Fashion Group ,which is a fashion firm/ agency that specializes in custom fashion design, fashion styling/ creative directing and makeup artistry.
Foster believes that every woman should feel beautiful.
She uses flattering lines and shapes to add or emphasize a woman’s curves. She believes that fashion should be interesting and artistic yet wearable.
Indirea Gordon’s “Quad Clothing” company focuses on high fashion and red carpet looks at a price that is suitable for any client.
Tailored to the clients, two designer lines are offered-“Drea” for special events and the “Shazuri” line for ready-to-wear.
The International Model Society masters its fusion of high-end fashion and tantalizing upscale fun, polished with a trademark of cultural diversity.
IMS has a specialized interest in affording opportunities to students with model potential alongside celebrated student artists, by showcasing their artistry to the fashion, entertainment and public arenas.
IMS has targeted a diversity of ethnicities with the express goal of providing a global platform with a fresh, diverse and innovative approach.
The group is not limited to models of international descent. Anyone is free to audition during scheduled open calls.
