Lil’ Wayne and The Clipse blared through speakers as a crowd gathered in Tiger Xpress to shake the cold to come out to One Life Entertainment’s Freestyle Thursdays. One Life Entertainment is a student run organization led by President Glynn Price and Vice President Drew Smith. The entertainment group is the result of two young men who desired more activities for Grambling’s campus life.
The soon-to-be moguls came with an idea that seems to be bringing good ratings.

Sirarminius Williams who called the freestyle battle into session also hosted it. The first battle on the mic was between Kidd Black and RO.

Within the two five minute battles a winner was chosen as the two emcees spit any diss they could think of.

The crowd showed no love to artists they weren’t feeling.
Popular faces joined the fun as Nic’ Beem, Kofi Ahrin, Lil E, and Rudy Ru sat in as acting judges. Brian Jones was on the ones and twos.

Other participants included Murk who battled HolliWood in a battle that left HolliWood with the win.
Elias from Chicago came out to take on previous champ G Cox’s his title as champion.

Tough critics showed the Chi Town native no love. G Cox reigned as the weekly champion.
Ladies KoolAid and Ty battled head up. Ty tried to take KoolAid’s title as the females’ champion.

The crowd ruled in favor of Ty. Ty remained the female battle rap champ, ready to defend her title.
This is only the beginning of activities for the new organization, One Life entertainment.

The group plans to broaden their options to the student body by providing entertainment at least four times a week. This will be in effect soon.

Upcoming events include Wildin’ Out Wednesdays, Yo Mama Comedy Roasts, Turnt Up Thursdays, which will feature Greek/
Non- Greek stroll offs, and the currently held Freestyle Thursdays.

When the weather improves, Freestyle Thursdays will resume on the yard.

One Life Entertainment’s motto is “to promote, educate, and sponsor entertainment.
