Judicial Affairs learns about sexual assault

The Office of Student Judicial Affairs staff and student Judicial Board members recently attended the Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault (LAFASA) College Sexual Assault Prevention Conference in Baton Rouge. The LAFASA is a coalition of the state’s sexual assault crisis centers, as well as other agencies and individuals concerned with sexual violence. Its primary mission is to work toward ending sexual violence in Louisiana through education, program support and social change.

Interactive lectures by experts in the field of sexual assault focused on collegiate premeditated predatory behaviors, writing and understanding college sexual assault policies, and investigation and adjudication of sexual assault cases.

Students, faculty and/or staff requesting presentations on campus sexual assault should contact the Office of Student Judicial Affairs at 274-3169.
