Accountants group celebrates NABA Week

The Grambling State University Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants celebrated its NABA Week of Activities Nov. 2 -6.
It was a well anticipated week for the executives and members of the chapter, NABA officials said. The week was designed to bring student members together to celebrate accomplishments and successes throughout the years.

The goal of the chapter was to give back to the Grambling community and to create awareness by informing potential members of the benefits of belonging to NABA.

The weeklong slate of activities was conducted by various committees within the chapter, including the Fundraising, Academic Development, Community Service, and Membership committees.

Among the activities were membership drives, a CPA review session, community service at the school’s cafeteria, movie night, a clean-up campaign at Jacob T. Stewart, a mixer and an executive dinner.
NABA Week would not have been successful without the commitment, hard work and dedication of the executive members, chairpersons and the general body, who all worked together to put the various activities into fruition, said NABA officials.

The club expressed their gratitude to NABA-GSU members for taking the time off their busy schedules to show their support to NABA endeavors by being a part of this eventful week.
