With regards to the death of Mr. Henry White, the Student Government Association is in the process of planning a tribute to White and his family at the opening game during GSU basketball season. Grambling State University and its governing board (The University of Louisiana System) are conducting a thorough investigation regarding the death of Mr. White. In the meantime the SGA President has no further comments about the death of Mr. White or the departure of Mr. Rick Duckett as head coach.
The SGA President, who also serves as a student member of the ULS Board, is committed to working with the system’s office to develop policies and procedures concurrent with NCAA policy to prevent an occurrence of this nature at any university in the future. The student body of Grambling State University continues to keep White and his family in our prayers.
