Junior Class president announces plans

reetings, Grambling State University new and returning students. It is my honor and pleasure to be an elected official of the GSU Student Government Association. As your 2009-2010 Junior Class President I would like to officially thank the Junior Class for electing me into this prestigious position. With your help and dedication, I plan to implement an exciting and scholastic school year for all Gramblinites.

My plans include hosting a Graduate School Prep Symposium entitled “Getting Ready,” which will prepare undergraduate students in selecting and preparing for graduate school. With education as a main priority, I plan to host a Business Etiquette Dinner that will provide students with a firsthand experience of dining in a professional setting.

One of the most challenging tests during college years is the Rising Junior Exam. In order to succeed on this general education test, I will provide students with necessary amenities. A community service entitled’ Pencils and Pointer” will provide test- taking strategies and pencils to achieve academic excellence during their test.
I expect to see all of the Junior Class in attendance for our class meeting.

They are scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, Thursday, October 1 and on Wednesday, November 4. All meetings will be held in the Favrot Student Union. Please look out for changes and flyers with dates for the class meetings. We will need your support in planning our events and community service projects.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, or concerns, please come out to our meetings so that we can hear your voice. I hope to see all of the Junior Class at the upcoming meetings and events.

Once again, Thank you and I hope that you all have a blessed and successful academic year.
