Microsoft deal offers savings to students

The Ultimate Steal Promotion saves students up to 91 percent off the estimated retail price when downloading Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007.Recently Microsoft Corp. kicked off its ultimate deal campaign with the Ultimate Steal Promotion that is targeting 12 Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic student organizations at colleges and universities in the U.S.

The campaign was created to offer students attending these institutions opportunities to purchase the Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 Suite at a much discounted price, a discount up to 91 percent from estimated retail price of $679.95 – as well as encourage student-led organizations to become involved with the Ultimate Steal Affiliate Program.

“The Ultimate Steal Promotion allows students to maximize their productivity and reach their full potential, at a fraction of the price they would otherwise pay at a retail store. These savings are especially important in today’s challenging economy,” said Naman Khan, worldwide product manager, Office Ultimate Steal.

Office Ultimate 2007 helps students achieve more in school by providing them with the tools to better organize assignments, create more dynamic presentations and manage projects so they can do more in less time, all while gaining technology skills that will allow them to compete in the work force after graduating.

Microsoft is also demonstrating its commitment to being the industry leader in bringing technology programs and services to minorities and women through its Ultimate Steal Affiliate Program, where students will be able to earn money to help support their student clubs and organizations.

The program provides student organizations with a unique URL that allows students to refer other students who attend their school to take part in the offer. For each product downloaded from the dedicated URL, Microsoft will provide the student organization with $1 from the sales.
