GSU track team finishes first

The Grambling State University men’s indoor track team won its first ever Southwestern Athletic Conference indoor championship recently.Some of the outstanding performers include Darwin Price who won the 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:44.

Another outstanding performer was Isaiah Nelson, who won the shot put competition with a throw of 49-05.

Darruis Lavailis won the high jump with a 6-10 jump.

Denaglo Walker and Jasequbor Robinson won first and second place respectively with 24-3 and 23-7 jumps.

Travis Joseph came in second in the triple jump with a 48-6.

Also Lavalais, won second place in the 60-yard dash, with a time 7.0 and third place finish in the 400 meter with a 50.2.
