Senior Class president extends thanks, support

Dear Editor: I send a thank you out, fellow seniors, to everyone who came to our first meeting of the semester and the resume-writing workshop. We had a very productive meeting and are looking forward to a successful semester. Our next class meeting will be March 9 in Room 242 in the Student Union.

We are currently accepting ideas for our Senior Class shirts. If you have an idea or a design, please let me or one of the other class officers know.

I would also like to send out a special thanks to the Senior Class senators who have worked so diligently to make this year a success for our class. William Graves, Jenita Blue and Janean Brown, thank you so much for your continued support and helping us fight for the issues that matter most to your fellow classmates.

A reception was held in the atrium of the Black and Gold Room on Wednesday for seniors who plan to graduate in May to honor them for their hard work. We are very excited about the Spring 2009 Career Fair, which is being held in the Black and Gold Room today. We are currently pursuing other recruiters to attend the Career Fair to expand it from last semester. We have already received confirmation from several corporations, businesses, companies, and graduate schools. Business attire is required to attend the career fair.

Please make note that graduation has been rescheduled for May 16 at 10 a.m. in the Assembly Center. More information about graduation will be given out as the date approaches.

If you have questions or need further information about any of the events scheduled for this semester, please contact me or one of the other class officers. They are Staci Hall, vice president, LaShonna Rose, secretary, and Liselle Griffith, treasurer. Any of us will be happy to assist you.
