Reader sends out hope and determination to all

Dear Editor:Happy New Year to you all! I hope your holidays were restful and invigorating. Beyond my heartfelt wishes for an excellent 2009, lies my message.

Having witnessed Barack Obama’s inauguration as the first Black president of the United States of America, join me in the quest for dreams that were bound to remain unfulfilled; dreams that had been pushed away, for fear of failure. Let us dig deeper within ourselves and trust that what was once unimaginable is now within our reach, through hard work and determination.

Though we all have separate goals and journeys through life, we can each turn this defining moment into a personal one; one in which we are not mere spectators, but participants. We can all use this moment to achieve our personal goals. It is never too late (Yes You Can!).

We must not let fear dampen our optimism because with a positive resolve, we will meet all our goals. I wish you all a successful semester; remember, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

Don’t let fear dampen our optimism because with a positive resolve, we will meet all our goals. With that having been said, I wish you all a successful semester; remember, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
