G-Men route Golden Lions

Run Date: 11/09/08The G-Men keep their quest for a SWAC championship alive, as they routed Arkansas Pine Bluff 28-7 in the Annual Delta Classic 4 literacy.

The G-Men (8-2, 5-0) started off the game very rough as quarterback Greg Dillon threw two interceptions in the first half. However, thanks to turnovers by Pine Bluff, the Tigers were able to capitalize off them. The team did not have a touchdown drive over 30 yards the whole game.

Dillon was 8-15 for 71 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Backup quarterback J.P. Tillman went 1-4 for seven yards. Running back Cornelius Walker (MVP of the game) had 16 carries for 92 yards.

The Tigers defense once again was stellar, as they held the Golden Lions (1-9, 0-8) to only 190 total yards. The defense was led by Jeffery Jack with nine tackles and Cliff Exma with six tackles.

The G-Men have a bye this week. The Tigers return to the gridiron on Nov. 20 against Texas Southern, the first Thursday night game for the G-Men.
