Burning car extinguished quickly

A car caught fire around 5:15 p.m. on the corner of Tiger Village 100B. The student’s car, a 1999 Turquoise Chevy Cavalier, was totaled, burning on the inside and out.No injuries were reported. The unidentified owner of the car was shaken up and did not go into detail about what happened.

Officials with the Grambling Fire Department have not determined what caused the fire. According to the owner, who is a GSU student, the car started smoking as he was driving. Upon pulling over, the car caught fire.
