G-Men fall to Northwestern

The G-Men could not muster out a win, despite many opportunities, falling 31-19 to the Northwestern State Demons. The G-Men were able to muster out 268 offensive yards for the game, but could not put the points up to show for it.

Northwestern scored quickly and went up 10-0 before a fumble returned for a TD by Ken Anio put the G-Men on the board. It went south from there, as Northwestern scored again, with John Hudley running 9 yards for the score.

The G-Men would answer with a J.P. Tillman pass to Kiare Thompson. However, the PAT was blocked, signaling the sign of things to come.

The crucial momentum shifter of the game came when the G-Men were inside the 10-yard line and failed to score in the fourth quarter.

Afterwards, Northwestern ate up precious clock time, scoring again on a TD run by Willia Griffin.

Grambling now falls to 1-2 on the season with a SWAC Championship rematch, featuring Jackson state, this week.
