State Rep. Ricky Gallot will be honored Thursday, Oct. 2, at the annual banquet sponsored by The Greater Grambling Chamber of Commerce.Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu will be the keynote speaker for the event which will be a “roast and toast” highlighting the life and career of Gallot.
“This is just our fun-filled and, of course, serious way of paying tribute to our representative and native son in his last term as state representative,” said Barbara McIntyre, president of the Grambling chamber.
The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. in the Atrium of the Black and Gold Room at Grambling State University. The banquet is at 7 p.m. in the Black and Gold Room. Tickets for the event are $40.
McIntyre said Landrieu will cite the accomplishments of Rep.Gallot and give an update on state projects that affect this area.
“The fun will come when Lt. Gov. Landrieu, as Rick’s longtime friend, and other elected officials and friends, will share some of the lighter moments in his career,” she said.
