Grambling to kickoff High Ability

Grambling State University High ability program will begin Saturday, June 21 and end on July 23. This summer program is offered to rising high school seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
“The program gives the high school students an opportunity to get the experience of college living,” said Veterine Simpson, program director.
The students will live on campus and dine in the cafeteria. They will be offered college credits, and get the opportunity to take courses such as English, mathematics, and have the choice to participate in the physical education activities or the choice of being part of the high ability vocal music program.
There is a program cost of $500 for activities and travel, plus 564.00 for housing and board. Full to partial scholarships are available for recipients that meet the requirements. Activities are planned to entertain the students and they are rewarded a big event at the end of the summer session program, said Simpson.
Eligible high school student should apply online at www.gram.edu, and provide the university with the required documentation that is needed for admission.
