Alumni chapter presidents gathered on Feb. 9 to discuss upcoming events that will take place on the campus of GSU. Those attending the meeting were: Kevin Walk, Douglas A. Williams Chapter, Houston; Nathaniel Washington, Birmingham (Ala.) Alumni Chapter; Thomas Jones Jr., Mansfield-DeSoto Parish Alumni Chapter; Janice Riggs, Rapides Parish Alumni Chapter, Alexandria; Edward Mason, Bienville Parish Alumni Chapter, Arcadia; Charles Scott, Monroe/ Ouachita Alumni Chapter; David Warren, Greater New Orleans Alumni Chapter; Raymond Green, secretary, Shreveport Alumni Chapter; and Ralph Wilson, president the of Natchitoches Alumni Chapter and interim director of GSU Alumni Relations.
While on campus, the group attended a pep rally and were guests of President and Mrs. Horace Judson for the GSU vs. Southern basketball game, which was televised on ESPNU.
Other items discussed at the meeting included the $30 million Comprehensive Capital Campaign, Homecoming and the Tom Joyner School of the Month Alumni Chapter challenge.
Other GSU Office of Advancement staff on hand were Glenda Jones, administrative assistant, and Valencia Clemons, assistant director of Alumni Relations.
