It is an 18 year tradition that is hosted before the rival football game between Grambling and Southern, the State Farm Bayou Classic College and Job Fair. This year there were many in attendance in hopes to find the job, internship or the college of their dreams, “I just got hear and can’t wait to look around. I plan on applying to Southern,” said John McDonald 35 High School student Geneva Thomas.

When asked why are the College and Job Fairs important to the Bayou Classic, Event Coordinator, Rebekka Hughes responded, “It’s important for the city of N.O. as well as the state of Louisiana. It’s important to rebuild not just for the city but for the students also. It also gives the students experience and exposure with different companies before entering the workplace.”
